I am delighted to be running 10km for The Women's Foundation in Hong Kong on 18 January 2026 and would appreciate any support big or small. 

 

I became involved with TWF in 2024 as I was lucky to join the 2024/25 Mentoring Programme for Women Leaders. This Programme helped me to expand my network in HK, by meeting many inspiring women (including my mentor @Catherine Yien) across different sectors, as we engaged in one-to-one and group mentoring. I was so grateful for this experience as it coincided with my second maternity leave which can be a somewhat isolating time particularly as an expat and with another small child at home. 

 

TWF has been around for over two decades and champions gender equality in HK by promoting the full and equal participation of women and girls in all aspects of society and engaging in research, programmes, education and advocacy. The work they do is practical, tangible and measurable. Just one example is the Girls Go Tech Programme which has benefitted >3,400 girls since 2015. The GGT Programme empowers underserved secondary school girls in Hong Kong to pursue education and careers in STEM by providing online courses, real time workshops and scholarships.

Lace Up For Gender Equality, Race For An Inclusive Future

We’re lacing up with purpose! For the first time ever, The Women’s Foundation is a proud charity partner of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon in 2026. Support our runners to meet their fundraising goals! 

All funds raised will help women and girls in Hong Kong move from the classroom to the boardroom with confidence and opportunity. Your contribution will help amplify the change our community can make together.  

 

* The Women's Foundation received its charitable status in 2004 pursuant to Section 88 of the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Ordinance as charity number 91/6962. A tax-exempt receipt will be issued to donor for donations over $100 or more.
