The Hong Kong Bird Watching Day cum Bird Race Fundraising Event was first organized in 2002 and has been our yearly bird watching and fundraising event. It is one of the key events bird watchers are looking forward to each year. However, we have suspended the event since 2020 due to COVID and this is our first year resuming the event after the lift of the pandemic regulations.
「香港觀鳥日暨觀鳥比賽籌款活動」於2002年首次舉辦，是每年一度的觀鳥和籌款活動，也是觀鳥愛好者密切期待的重要活動之一。可是自2020年起，我們受新冠疫情影響暫停活動，而今年2023年是復常後首年重辦。
The MTR's Student Race is a 6-hour bird watching race for secondary school students, which will happen from 8am to 2pm on 25 Nov 2023 (Sat). We are glad to have MTR Corporate Limited and the Swire Trust to sponsor the event, particularly for the MTR's Student Race and the race training day. The competition is in teams and can go anywhere in Hong Kong apart from the Mai Po Marshes Nature Reserve. At least 3 team members are needed to confirm the bird record, by sighting or its calls are both acceptable. The team with the highest score (with bonus points added or deducted for penalty) will be the champion.
港鐵中學生組是一個為期6小時的觀鳥比賽，賽事將於11月25日上午8時至下午2時結束。今年我們非常榮幸有香港鐵路有限公司及太古基金特別贊助港鐵中學生組的比賽及賽前訓練。比賽將以隊伍形式進行，參賽隊伍可在香港的任何地方（除了米埔自然護理區之外）觀鳥。而雀鳥記錄需要至少3名隊員確認，看見或聽見均接受。最高分數的隊伍（包括已加減獎勵或懲罰的分數）將成為冠軍。

- Only teams which are successfully registered in the MTR's Student
Race can participate in the Fundraising Race. The registered
guardian or teacher of each team will receive an email with login
details of your team's personal fundraising page. The team can then
customize the page, such as adding a profile picture, team
description and set the team's fundraising target.
只有已確認參賽資格的隊伍才可以參與籌款比賽。每隊的隨隊老師或監護人將會收到電郵，裡面包括隊伍籌款網頁的登錄詳情。隊伍可按需要自訂籌款網頁的資料，例如添加隊伍頭像、隊伍描述和設定籌款目標等。 - Teams are encouraged to share your fundraising page with your
families and friends, and they can support the team by making
donation online. All tax deductible e-receipts for donation of
HK$100 or above will be emailed to the registered guardian or
teacher of each team. All receipts will be prepared before 31
January 2024.

at 2pm. All donation for the team should be made through the team's
fundraising page. The team with the highest amount of fund raised
will be the Best Fundraiser of the MTR's Student Race.
