香港觀鳥比賽暨籌款活動 2025 — 尋找勺嘴鷸
香港觀鳥會自 2002 年起首次舉辦「香港觀鳥比賽暨籌款活動」，是逾二十年歷史的觀鳥界年度盛事，旨在推廣觀鳥、收集雀鳥記錄和籌募善款，所籌善款將用於支持香港觀鳥會的鳥類保育工作。為鼓勵觀鳥新手參賽，今年比賽特別增設大專生半價優惠，希望將這項觀鳥盛事的傳統傳承給新一代的觀鳥愛好者！
「公開挑戰組」須於限時 24 小時內記錄最多鳥種，賽事時間為 2025 年 4 月 26 下午 2 時至 4 月 27 日下午 2 時。比賽以隊伍形式進行，參賽隊伍可在香港的任何地方觀鳥。而雀鳥記錄需要至少3名隊員確認，看見或聽見均接受。最高分數的隊伍（包括已加減獎勵或懲罰 的分數）將成為冠軍。
今屆比賽主題為「尋找勺嘴鷸」，呼籲公眾關注全球數量不足 500 隻、本地呈下跌趨勢的勺嘴鷸。過去每年春季，香港后海灣均穩定錄到勺嘴鷸記錄，但最近兩年 (2023 及 2024 年) 本港全年未錄得任何勺嘴鷸記錄，是 2002 年以來的首次，情況令人擔憂。

Hong Kong Bird Race Fundraising Event 2025 - Finding Spoon-billed Sandpiper
The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society has organized the Hong Kong Bird Race Fundraising Event annually since 2002. It is an essential event eagerly anticipated by birdwatchers. This event aims to raise funds for bird conservation, collect bird records in Hong Kong, and share the joy of birdwatching with the public. To encourage birdwatching beginners, this year’s race offers a 50% discount for tertiary students!
Challenger Race participants will have 24 hours to go anywhere across Hong Kong to record the highest number of bird species, with the race spanning from April 26, 2025 2PM to April 27, 2025 2PM. The competition is in teams and can go anywhere in Hong Kong. At least 3 team members are needed to confirm the bird record, by sighting or its calls are both acceptable. The team with the highest score (after bonus points added or deducted for penalty) will be the champion.
The year's theme is "Finding Spoon-billed Sandpiper", hoping to raise public awareness for this globall critically endangered species with fewer than 500 individuals worldwide. In the past, Spoon-billed Sandpipers were consistently recorded in Deep Bay every spring. However, in 2023 and 2024, there were no sightings of this species throughout the entire year—the first time this has happened since 2002.

- Only teams which are successfully registered in the Challenger
Race can participate in the Fundraising Race. The registered team
leader will receive an email with login details of your team's
personal fundraising page. The team can then customize the page,
such as adding a profile picture, team description and set the
team's fundraising target.
只有已確認參賽資格的隊伍才可以參與籌款比賽。每隊的隊長將會收到電郵，裡面包括隊伍籌款網頁的登錄詳情。隊伍可按需要自訂籌款網頁的資料，例如添加隊伍頭像、隊伍描述和設定籌款目標等。 - Teams are encouraged to share your fundraising page with your
families and friends, and they can support the team by making
donation online. All tax deductible e-receipts for donation of
HK$100 or above will be emailed to the registered team leader of
each team. All receipts will be prepared before 30 June 2025.
