For many of us, summer means sunshine and holidays.
For those experiencing homelessness, summer means survival.
Extreme heat. Sudden rainstorms. Typhoons. No cool refuge. No dry space. No way to protect your belongings.
At the same time, summer is one of the slowest fundraising periods of the year- but the need does not slow down and the costs stay the same.
We are seeking one-off donations to help us through this season, as well as in-kind donations such as travel‑size toiletries, mosquito repellent, umbrellas and portable fans to keep our friends on the street cool and dry.
Our staff are on the ground every day doing outreach and providing services. Our Community Centre 29 is open and fully operational 7 days a week. But to give consistent support, we need consistent support.
For those willing and able, we urge you to consider becoming a recurring donor by setting up a monthly payment through our website.
One‑time gifts help us respond, but monthly gifts help us plan.
Your regular monthly support ensures consistency, even during low fundraising months. For the price of a few coffees, your donation can bring much needed relief, offering shade and comfort to those facing the summer without shelter.
