The ReThink Foundation is Hong Kong’s leading platform for rethinking how we can harness partnerships to maximise collective social impact. Our mission is to empower NGOs to leverage strategic partnerships in optimising social value creation.
Every year, The ReThink Foundation launches applications for its programme, to foster collaboration between Hong Kong charities for greater social impact. Each project application is developed by two or more charities (local Chapter 88 organisations) working together — leveraging each other’s strengths, expertise, and resources.
We are excited to introduce our ReThink Foundation 2025 Cohort of Impact Projects.
SignED: Inclusive Sex Education for Hong Kong Deaf Community by Free Periods Hong Kong and Deaf Classroom Hong Kong
SignED is a collaborative initiative between Free Periods Hong
Kong and Deaf Classroom Hong Kong to develop an inclusive sex
education programme tailored for the Deaf community, addressing
critical gaps in health literacy and promoting social inclusion. By
conducting a needs assessment, delivering workshops in Hong Kong
Sign Language (HKSL), and producing a post-programme publication,
the project aims to empower Deaf individuals with knowledge on
sexual health, menstrual health, boundary-setting, and consent. This
effort fosters personal autonomy, health awareness, and community
engagement, contributing to sustainable social development in Hong Kong.
Closing the Data Gap: Developing a Framework for Measuring Inclusion in Hong Kong by Resolve Foundation and The Social Impact Consultancy
This project will conduct a foundational gap analysis to address the lack of comprehensive, intersectional metrics for measuring social inclusion in Hong Kong. By identifying data gaps and developing a replicable framework informed by global best practices and consultations, this initiative will empower stakeholders across sectors to assess inclusion progress more systematically in Hong Kong and drive impactful, evidence-based action.
Dream2Story The Foundry Programme by Dream2Story,
Caritas Family Services, Malayaam Academy, Concordia Lutheran School
The Foundry programme is Dream2Story’s flagship annual
initiative, running from October to June, designed to empower Hong
Kong youths from low socio-economic backgrounds to (re-)gain a sense
of self agency over their own post-school life. It is an
experiential programme centred around a business plan challenge in
which students work in teams (supported by corporate mentors) to
bring their own interests into a business plan to be pitched against
others in a competition setting. In addition to fundamental business
concepts and entrepreneurial skills, students will have the
opportunity to enhance essential soft skills such as communication,
teamwork, and problem-solving and discover and develop their own resilience.
